01
The product
Shiksha Setu is a multi-tenant School ERP. Every school gets a white-labeled deployment with its own branding, while all of them run on the same platform and the same codebase. It ships 10+ core modules, each with role-based access so every user sees only what their role allows.
02
The hard part
Multi-tenancy is the whole game. Each request has to land on the right school's data, every time, without one tenant ever seeing another's. I built an event-driven Node.js service class that routes each request to the correct database dynamically, on top of a hybrid MongoDB setup.
03
How it was built
MongoDB, Express, React and Node.js, styled with Tailwind CSS. White-label deployments are containerized with Docker and rolled out through CI/CD, so onboarding a new school is a pipeline run rather than a project.
Email was the weak spot, so I moved delivery onto message queues, which improved delivery reliability by 35%.
04
Outcome
Shiksha Setu is live with 20+ client schools and 72K+ users so far.
